you should implement actual survival skills/health/hunger into the game. make this realistic. you see them in the show, etc.. needing to eat and all, or getting hurt or sick. make that a feature. have hunger that depletes over time, faster when higher energy is expended. Add things like breath for underwater, falling damage, burns, etc.. and fatigue. that way the game isnt just oh lets go catch a pokemon and walk here and battle, its living the pokemon world. make it truly immersive
ermmmmm could be a sticky subject that... while the hunger thing is good it could quickly get irritating when you run out of food. as far as hurt and sick go, that occurs with battle and status elements. As for an air gage... does that mean that goldeen or magikarp on land just roll over and suffocate? as i said.. it gets sticky very quickly...
I was thinking that, in order to add more flavor to the world, there should be hazardous terrain, or areas that harm certain types of Pokémon when they try to cross them. For example, magma would damage any type other than Fire or Water, and cold water damages Fire types. Other hazardous terrain include acidic ground, thorny ground, electrified areas, sandstorms, blizzards, spikes, and possibly more. Some types are not damaged by certain terrain, such as Poison and Steel being immune to acid ground, Electric and Ground types are immune to electrified areas. Some abilities should also grant terrain immunities.
